配当を出さず稼ぎを再投資する、黒字で財務も底堅い会社
井戸を掘る作業そのものは請け負わず、区間ごとに仕切って狙った箇所だけを仕上げる道具と技術に特化する。2025年7月に取得したReservoir Metricsでトレーサー診断を強め、部品売りから井戸の診断へ手を伸ばしつつある。
主力は、井戸のケーシングに埋め込んで一度で使い切るスライディングスリーブと、現場での使用を支える技術サービス。2025年の売上はフラクチャリングと増進回収の系統で約6割、合弁のRepeat Precisionが約2割、井戸構築用品とトレーサー診断が各約1割だった。
掘削が止まると注文は一気に消え、使い切りの消耗品ゆえに作り置きも効かない。同種の仕切り技術を持つ競合がいるため、価格と性能の両方で押し合いが続く。
50%を持つRepeat Precisionを連結し、フラックプラグや加工サービスを内側に取り込んでいる。2025年はカナダ比率が63%から58%へ下がり米国が伸びるなど、地域の偏りが少し均された。
新しく掘って仕上げる井戸の本数が、そのまま注文数になる。原油やガスの価格が下がって掘削が止まれば道具も売れず、しかも売上の6割近くはカナダ一国が占める。
横に長く掘った油井は、そのままでは狙った層だけを仕上げられない。NCS Multistageはその区間を仕切る部品を作り、井戸のケーシングに埋め込んで一度きりで使い切ってもらう。
掘る作業そのものは請け負わない道具屋なので、掘削が続く限り注文は絶えないが、止まれば在庫の逃げ場がない。売上の6割近くをカナダが占める偏りもあり、2025年7月のReservoir Metrics取得で診断の領域に広げたのは、部品売り一本から離れる動きでもある。
